To calculate CBM, first measure the length, width, and height of the carton or package. Then convert the dimensions into meters and multiply them together.
CBM Formula
CBM = Length × Width × Height × Quantity
Example
If one carton is 50 cm × 40 cm × 30 cm, convert to meters: 0.50 × 0.40 × 0.30 = 0.06 CBM. If there are 10 cartons, total CBM is 0.60 CBM.
