About This Landed Cost Calculator

This landed cost calculator helps importers find the true cost of a shipment after customs clearance — not just the supplier invoice price. It adds freight, insurance, customs duty, sales tax or VAT, clearance fees, and destination handling and delivery charges on top of the goods value.

Sales tax or VAT is calculated on the CIF value (goods + freight + insurance) plus duty already paid, not on the goods value alone, which matches how most customs authorities actually assess import tax. The Incoterm selector also flags which costs the seller already covers under terms like CIF or DDP, so you only enter what you're actually responsible for as the buyer.
